Chance Your Arm.
That would be the advice I would offer to my 18-year-old self if I was having a coffee with him this morning.
Life is about taking chances. If there is something you want in life whatever it may be, you have to go and get it. If you see an opportunity, go for it. Don’t end up regretting those you did not take.
Excellent ideas are not enough. Only an idea acted upon and developed is 100% better than a terrific idea that dies because it isn’t followed up. Every day thousands of ideas are buried because people are afraid to act on them.
Action cures fear! Get the speak up habit and each time you do, you strengthen yourself. Even if there is a slight chance of getting something, risk it. Live is too short.
What advice would you offer your younger self?
I will be hosting a Live Podcast to celebrate What I Know Now’s 1 year anniversary at the Hamilton Bulding, Trinity College on Thursday 28 September. Find out more info and sign up to attend for FREE at this link. Hope to see you there.
