Stop Procrastinating, Just Do It
“Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.” – Pablo Picasso
If I was to have a coffee with my 18-year-old self this morning, I would tell him that no one is going to do the push ups for you. Stop procrastinating and just get on with it.
Every day thousands of people bury good ideas because they are afraid to act on them. Stop thinking about what could go wrong and just go for it. Success will only come to those who take action.
Even if there is something you are not that intertested in, dig in and learn more about it. The chances are you might end up loving it.
Use action to cure fear and build confidence. Don’t wait around for conditions to be perfect because they never will be perfect. Stop wasting time getting ready to act and just jump in.
What advice would you share with your 18-year-old self?
I will be hosting a Live Podcast to celebrate What I Know Now’s 1 year anniversary on Thursday 28 September at at the Hamilton Bulding in Trinity College Dublin. Find out more info and sign up to attend for FREE at this link. Hope to see you there.
