“A lot of things are out of our control”

If Jack Quann, Digital News Journalist at Communicorp could offer one piece of advice to his 18-year-old self this morning, he would tell him not to worry about things so much.

A lot of people tend to worry on things you cannot control, such as the economy or the weather, but stop contemplating these and start focusing on what you can change.

Don’t wait around for situations to be perfect to take action towards your goals, because conditions will never be perfect. Stop worrying and start taking action.

Any goal you work towards will have their challenges along the way. Don’t worry about things that might go wrong and start thinking about what can go right.

Stop thinking and worrying about things that might or might not happen and just go for it. You will deal with the challenges when you come to them.

What advice would you share with your 18-year-old self?
