“If you don’t believe, you won’t achieve”

If Pat Falvey, Explorer, Entrepreneur and Inspirational Speaker could have a chat with his 18-year-old this afternoon, he would offer him lots of advice, including to believe in yourself..

Pat would tell his younger self to dream big and believe in yourself than you can achieve it. His grandmother used to say to him “If you think you can, you will; if your think your can’t, you won’t.”

Pat would also advise to not procrastinate and go after what you want. Too many people make the mistake of waiting for conditions to be perfect but the truth is, they never will be. Stop waiting and go take action.

The fourth thing Pat offers is to ignore your critics, which might be family, close friends or even yourself. Believe you can do it and don’t let the opinions of others hold you back.

The final piece of advice is to become an explorer in your own life and develop the right mindset to achieve your goals. You need to have courage and passion to follow your dreams.

What advice would you offer to your 18-year-old self?
