In this episode, I answer a listener’s question on how to overcome self-doubt. Everyone will have moments of doubt, but how do we turn that doubt into a positive force in our lives?
There are three tips that I have learned to help shut off doubt. The first piece of advice is to nip it in the bud. Kill the Gollum voice in your head before it starts to grow to be a big monster.
The next tip is to start a positive list. Each morning write down three positive things that happened the day before. In moments of doubt, look back on all the positive things you have done.
The third thing is to journal. Get all your thoughts and ideas in your head down on paper and see how much of it doesn’t make sense.
Finally, I would say “sharpen the saw”. You will be a different person than you are in the next few years because you are always developing. Use that doubt to take yourself to the next level.
