Welcome to episode 18 of Ask Mark, where I answer your questions about personal development to help you become the best version of yourself.
From interviewing people from all walks of life on the What I Know Now podcast, I want to share with you what I have learned from my guests by answering any questions you have about personal development, networking and building meaningful relationships. The aim of Ask Mark is to help you achieve your goals sooner and help you stand on the shoulders of giants.
I love hearing from my listeners. If you would like to get involved and have your question featured on the show, please leave your question in the comments box or drop me a message on social media in the links below.
Now sit back, plug in those headphones and enjoy because it is time to learn together about personal development, networking, building meaningful relationships and so much more.
In this episode, I answer a question from a listener who is feeling a little bit shy but wants to become more confident at networking.
My advice is to find a role model. Find someone who is good at networking and developing meaningful relationships. Success leaves clues, so reach out to them and see if you can hang out with them.
If you can find somebody to role model behaviour, look at what they do and observe what they do. Listen to the questions they ask and look at their body language. The chances are they have worked at it.
Just because you feel shy, it does not mean you can’t do it. It means you just jake small steps towards moving outside your comfort zone and work that little bit harder.
