In today’s episode, I offer you three pieces of advice to help you overcome rejection and challenges you will face on your journey and stay focused on your goals.
Most of the time you only hear about the success of a startup and but those successful people you hear about, have all overcome rejection and failures to get to where they are. It’s all part of the journey.
To help you overcome rejection, the first thing you need to do is be persistent. After constant letdowns and failures, you have to maintain belief and just take it step-by-step. Most of it is out of your control, it’s how you react to it that counts.
The second piece of advice is to speak to yourself more optimistically. If things don’t work out or feedback on an idea is not what you wanted, don’t beat yourself up. Look at the positives and see what you can improve on.
The final tip is to reflect upon your successes. The fact is that you have probably achieved more than you think. Even when you have the smallest victory, give yourself a pat on the back. Celebrate the micro-wins.
