In today’s episode, I offer listeners three pieces of advice on gaining a better work-life balance with your relationships can help you reduce stress, improve health and give you a deeper sense of purpose in life

Achieving a healthy work-life balance requires managing your professional and personal life in sustainable ways that keep your energy flowing, your minds and bodies healthy and overall, keeps you happy and content.

The first thing to gain a better work-life balance is to pick and choose. In terms of networking, discover which of your contacts are most important to you and focus more on developing meaningful relationships with them.

The second piece of advice is to unplug. By shutting your phone off and enjoying the moment, you will start to gain a greater sense of control, reduce stress and give you more time to enjoy the people who matter most.

The final tip is to nurture your relationships. Relationships with family and friends are the greatest source of inner satisfaction. By making your personal relationships a priority, your productivity and effectiveness on the job will actually increase as well.
