Today on Mark’s Daily Discoveries, I offer some simple tips on how to overcome fear when attending networking events to help you start a conversation other people attending.

I believe that the fear is all in these peoples head. Some feel they don’t have anything good to say and don’t want to interfere in a conversation that’s already happening.

Two simple tips to help you overcome this fear is to go in with an open mind and don’t make assumptions. Don’t let fear hold you back. Just ask people questions and find out more about them.

If you want to make things even more easier, prepare your questions in advance. Have an idea of what you want to say and if you can, find out what other people are attending the event.

The more and more you this and get to know people at networking events, the fear will start to go away. You will start to get a lot more confident in approaching people and getting to know them. Action cures Fear!
